How Aamir Khan Helped In Promoting ‘Hate Story’?

There is a reason why the makers of HATE STORY are not worried about the Censor issue even though thousands have inundated them with queries about ‘apprehension’ and ‘fears’ related to erotica and nudity factor even as the D-day is fast approaching. Instead, they can be heard making unabashed claims about the film pushing the envelope while also conveying the point as-is without any adulteration whatsoever.
Reason being that instead of lying low and pitching the movie any different from what it actually is, Vivek and Vikram have decided to take a leaf out of Aamir Khan’s book.
“DELHI BELLY is one film that gave me a lot of confidence,” confesses Vivek, “Aamir’s way of looking at films is very different and the way he marketed DELHI BELLY for what it is without faking anything gave me a lot of confidence. That made me realize that you can say and show anything provided that your characters are real. As long as you don’t get into fantastical region, people would be willing to hear out and see what you have to offer. This means that even though you may be working with largely newcomers, you would still find audience as long as product placement is right and your content is true to the subject.”
Written by Vikram Bhatt, HATE STORY is set in the corporate world where a conflict arises which results in Paoli creating havoc in the life of prime antagonist Gulshan Devaiah. While Nikhil Dwivedi is the only white character in the film who tries to balance the plot, it is the fireworks that Paoli and Gulshan bring to the proceedings that is expected to result in a high voltage dramatic outing.
