Aamir Khan To Attend The Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Awards Today

Actor Aamir Khan, who is known for his refusal to attend awards functions, has finally decided to grace an event with his presence, sources claim. It seems that Khan will be attending the Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Awards event on May 3, where he will be unveiling a statue of Phalke, who is known as the father of Indian cinema.
However, Mr. Perfectionist has reportedly made it clear to the organisers that he would not be accepting any awards but would be attending the event only for unveiling the statue. Confirming the news, Ashok Shekhar, the son of veteran actor Chandrashekhar and one of the organisers of the event, was quoted saying, “He is keen on attending the event but has made it clear to us that he is coming only to unveil the statue since we are celebrating 100 years of Indian cinema.” Veteran actors Amitabh Bachchan and Vinod Khanna will reportedly be honoured at the event, apart from other talented personalities.
Aamir Khan, who was last seen playing a cop in Sarfarosh, will once again be seen donning the khaki uniform for upcoming psychological thriller Talaash.
