PAIYA Remake Is Looking For Salman & Aamir

Remakes like GHAJINI, READY, BODYGUARD, SINGHAM and WANTED have created history at the box-office. Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn climbed greater heights of success with these blockbuster films. Even today, the trend of remakes is in full flow with KICK that stars Salman Khan and SON OF SARDAR, remake of MARYADA RAMANNA, which stars Ajay Devgn.
But there is one film that Bollywood stars seem to have missed. And that is PAIYA, another potential pot of gold for Bollywood with love from the South. The reason behind keeping Bollywood stars away from this big project is because director Linguswamy was waiting for South superstar Surya to play the lead in the Hindi version. However, since Surya is still stuck with his Tamil assignments (he has acted in the original films which were later remade in Hindi- SINGHAM, GAJINI to name a few), Linguswamy has moved on to do four Tamil films with UTV.
But, now that Surya is busy with his Tamil films, Bollywood superstars can make the most of the opportunity. Aamir Khan and Salman Khan have been successful whenever it came to remakes. Ajay Devgn also stands a chance to grab a role in PAIYA, a super hit film that made over Rs. 50 crore business in Tamil with 20 crore overseas and over 20 crore for its Telugu version AWAARA.
Written and directed by N. Linguswamy, PAIYA is about the interesting journey of a young couple. A beautiful young woman who is an IT employee asks a jobless, happy-go-lucky man to escort her from Bangalore to Mumbai. The man incidentally is in love with her. The film revolves around the various obstacles that the couple faces during their trip, some bitter-sweet experiences and the manner in which they bond together during the journey – a typical story that has the potential to become a successful film in Bollywood.
Grapevine has it that Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone were also cast for this film by Director Linguswamy but post their break-up, the on-screen jodi aspirations came to an end as well.
Now, the biggest question that arises is that who will be the next Jodi in PAIYA? It is said that the mighty Khans are said to be potential contenders for the lead role as makers are checking out the film with them in mind as well.

Aamir & Salman Are Back Together

The thought of many to see the two Khans Aamir and Salman together in film might turn into a reality. The two powerful Khans Aamir and Salman who are a band apart in their behavior, attitude and selection of films, might come together for a common cause, provide quality entertainment for the audience. It’s been heard that the man with a heart bigger than his biceps, our dear Salman met producer Vinay Sinha who is going under a bad phase. He is the same man who produced the laugh riot of 1994, ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ – the Rajkumar Santoshi helmed picture is still considered to be a genuine laughter express on the lines of ‘Bombay to Goa’ and ‘Padosan’ on the laugh quotient. The worried producer Vinay Sinha approached Salman with the idea of the sequel and the generous Salman gave a patience hearing and agreed to do the sequel!! Without giving a second thought. Says the relaxed producer, “I was deeply moved when Salman agreed to do the sequel to my film immediately. We’ve had some lengthy discussions about the script too.” Vinay is planning to meet Aamir and Raj Kumar Santoshi soon. We hope that the matters work out between them and we have another entertainer on hand to cherish and above all to see Aamir and Salman at their funny best once again for us. Don’t go away stay tuned for more on this.

Aamir Khan Is No.1 – Says Salman Khan

Bollywood star Salman Khan is so impressed with Aamir Khan after watching “Peepli Live” that he has given him the title of “Mr.Midas touch”. “Mr. Midas touch has produced a picture. Midas touch ‘matlab ke’ (means) Aamir Khan. ‘Peepli Live’ has a mad-ass touch. Especially the press should see the film,” Salman posted on his Twitter page. With Aamir’s last three films — “Taare Zameen Par”, “Ghajini” and “3 Idiots” – declared blockbuster hits, Salman seems to have chosen an apt expression for his colleague. “I didn’t let Aamir touch me after the film. Agar mujhe gold mein badal deta toh? (What if he touched me and I would have transformed into gold?),” Salman quipped. “Peepli Live” is a satire on farmers’ suicides and it has been directed by Anusha Rizvi and produced by Aamir Khan Productions Pvt Ltd. Perfectionist Aamir Khan recently made a playful remark on Salman Khan. Riding high on ‘Peepli Live’s’ nomination at the Oscars along with the National Award for ‘3 Idiots’ and Aamir Khan – the ‘Perfectionist’ is making sure nobody takes away the limelight from him not even his colleague and good friend Salman Khan. On being asked about Salman starrer ‘Dabangg’ doing great business with gigantic collections, Aamir said that the film is yet to break 3 Idiots’ record. He said, “I have seen Dabangg, and it’s a great film, people are liking it. But it has to break the record.” Apparently, Aamir made it clear that ‘3 Idiots’ is still Bollywood`s biggest blockbuster and ‘Dabangg’ has a long way to go before it can break his film`s records. The film ‘3 Idiots’ starring Aamir Khan was not only a huge success at the box office of 2009 but also created history with the maximum profit any Bollywood film has raked in so far. The film grossed a profit of Rs 399 crore while ‘Dabangg’ is slowly inching towards similar figures. Salman & Aamir Finally Say Yes To ‘Andaz Apna Apna 2′

After the earlier news of ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ sequel was rubbished by ace actor Aamir Khan, director Rajkumar Santoshi has gone on record to confirm the sequel reports. The 1994 film that saw Aamir Khan and Salman Khan as warring friends, ‘Andaz Apna Apna’, literally redefined the situational comedy genre. And now the silver screen will soon dazzle again as the superstars reprise their classic jodi. Sources confirm that director Rajkumar Santoshi and Aamir were toying with idea of sequel for long, but they were not convinced with the story of the films’ second edition which advertently has raised the expectations owing to the cult status the last film has achieved. However, they have finally zeroed in on an idea that will justify the sequel and do justice to the current image of the superstars. A source speaking to a daily said, “When Aamir met Santoshi, he told the director that he has shunned sequels so far. But as Andaz Apna Apna is special, they have been discussing various ideas and have zeroed-in on an idea they like.” Right from the start, Aamir and Salman were keen to star with the sequel. Talking about the sequel the source further said, “It was Salman who suggested to Aamir that they come together for the sequel. Both the superstars are very close to Santoshi (Salman did a cameo for Santoshi`s ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’) and Aamir has been in talks with Santoshi for several projects) and they`ve decided to go for the sequel full-throttle.” When Rajkumar Santoshi was contacted, he admitted that he recently met Aamir to discuss about the sequel. He said, “It`s amazing how much interest there is in ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ after so many years. My movie ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ was a tribute to the spirit of that movie. Aamir, Salman and I are really looking forward to coming together again.”

Asin Is Getting Pampered By The Khans

Southern siren Asin is among those lucky few actors, who got the chance to work with superstars of Bollywood – Aamir Khan and Salman Khan from day one. While with Aamir she has done one film-GHAJINI (2008) and with Salman two films now – LONDON DREAMS and READY. Both the stars have their unique style of working. Comparing the styles of two superstars, Asin says, “Salman is quite spontaneous in front of camera and there is not much of a discussion. He comes and does his own things. You have to be really alert while the camera is running because you don’t know what he is going to come up with. You have to give appropriate reaction and can’t look like ‘oh my god what do I do’ types. He is there and you have to be ready for whatever he throws at you. On the other hand, Aamir is somebody who’ll probably sit with you and/or director before the camera starts rolling and discuss it why don’t we do like this and get the approval of the director before actually going in front of camera. But, ultimately he will go with what director wants. So you are at least sure what is actually going to happen in front of camera.” Asin easily demarcates their working styles, however, when it comes to choosing anyone between the two it’s very difficult for the pretty lass to do so as she is very much attached with both of them. Says Asin, “I kind of gel with both the working styles. Personally also I share great rapport with both of them so it’s very difficult for me to choose anyone. They both are close to me. Aamir, of course, I did my first film GHAJINI, which is close to my heart. So I have that little bit of sentiments for him. And with Salman I did two movies back-to-back.” Well Asin we do understand it’s very difficult to choose between the two but we would surely love you to give up diplomacy and for once tell us about your favourite.
